4 Ways to Style a Moto Jacket
A moto jacket is one of my top 10 wardrobe staples. I was gifted my first moto jacket 8 years ago from my husband for our 2nd wedding anniversary. And ever since then, I’ve worn that jacket so many times I can hardly count. There’s even a hole in the arm from a time I wore it out for a friend’s dinner over candlelight. We were both leaning in over the table, talking over the din of the dining room, and before I knew it, my sleeve caught fire from the candle! I quickly snuffed it out but it left a little burn mark on the leather, which I now look at as part of the story of my jacket, which makes me love it that much more. I finally invested in my second leather moto jacket at the Nordstrom Yearly Sale, in a different color, and I wear the Dalby Leather Jacket at least three seasons out of the year. I’m teaming up with Caralyn Mirand to show you how we both styled our moto jackets for some spring outfit inspiration. Here’s how I styled it four ways for warmer weather.
Denim cut-offs + Tank top + Flats
My favorite cut-offs of the moment are Agolde Dee Ultra High Rise denim shorts. They have a higher rise and a longer inseam, both of which I love. I sized up because of my similar hip to waist ratio but if you are broader in the hips and narrower in the waist, I’d recommend staying true to your size. I paired it with my Jenni Kayne D’orsay flats (true to size and very very comfortable) and my “not so basic” tank from Sold Out NYC.

2. A Slip Dress + Sandals
A slip dress is the ultimate easy spring into summer piece. This slip dress is a perfect for everyday and equally wonderful to pack on vacation. I paired this Jenni Kayne slip dress (code CONNI15 for 15% off) with a pair of T-strap sandals and my moto jacket as a layer. I love a great belt bag as a hands-free option and this Abby Alley sling bag in black is the perfect size (use code ARTINTHEFIND for 15% off!).

3. Paper bag shorts + White Tennies + a Fun everyday accessory
I love that white tennis shoes are a staple these days! I wear them with just about everything. Here, I paired my Sezane paper bag shorts in Khaki green (they fit true to size). They are wonderfully structured and have a zip and button closure. These shorts are fantastic! I also have a basic white sleeveless white button down but you can use a simple v-neck tee or white crew neck too. I then added a fun pop of color with my Clare V (my bag is sold out but this one is super similar here!)
4. Animal print slip skirt + Ballet flats
Another great way to mix in a moto jacket is to pair it for an everyday look with an animal print slip skirt (linked a few similar skirts here and here), a sleeveless tank (this one is from Joli Nu a great local brand) and ballet flats. The Bella Flats are from Italic, a direct to consumer brand that brings at cost pricing with no markups for great quality, minimal pieces. They have a monthly or yearly membership and once you become a member you have access to their at-cost pricing! I love these flats and also have a beautiful cashmere jacket that is an amazing layering piece. Use code CONNI50 for 50% off of a yearly membership. Then I paired my outfit with my Clare V. Grande Fanny bag, a hands-free favorite of mine!
