A Black Tee Shirt 5 Ways Using the Outfit Formula Method // Part 2
This is part two in the Outfit Formula Series where I’m styling wardrobe basics multiple ways using a simple formula of 1 + 2 + 3 + 4 (top + bottom + shoe + layer) = outfit formula. It’s an easy method, that once you start using it, you can pre-create outfits so that you can get ready when those limited minutes in the morning are ticking down.
My tee shirt is the Iconically Soft Perfect Tee from Sold Out NYC and has been a staple in my closet for the past few years now. I wear it under, over, and with layers. I wear it for traveling, weekend elevated, and work looks. It’s 100% organic cotton and sustainably made. Use code CONNITWENTY for 20% off of any full price pieces from Sold Out NYC. (I have a small and XS in the tee to allow for a looser or more fitted fit.)

Once you start thinking in patterns like the Outfit Formula Method, you can begin to create go - to outfit formulas that will make getting dressed much more efficient. The joy is in knowing your formulas (keeping the same bases (top and bottom) and then changing it up by bringing in print, pattern, color, or texture. You can learn more about how to do that in some recent reels here and here.
And if you want to take a piece in your closet and mix and match pieces to create go-to outfit formulas, we can do that virtually or in person with my Shop Your Closet Outfit Planning Session! If you’re interested in how it works, book a free 10 minute consult and we can chat.
