Patio Furniture from Wayfair: My Indian Summer Patio Project
One of the things I've always loved to do is entertain friends and family. I love the company that it employs, the voices of conversations that can be heard while prepping the BBQ. And I've always wanted a patio that can allow for that. Last year, we moved into our family home and it had the perfect space for entertaining in the backyard. Which was why this season I was itching to redecorate our patio with new patio furniture from Wayfair.

Redecorating with New Patio Furniture from Wayfair
And so began my project, which I'll dub my Indian Summer Patio Project. Every September and October in San Diego we hit what I like to call our Indian Summer. These happen to be the warmest months of the year and I always encourage out-of-town visitors to come and visit. So I gave myself a deadline aka, note to self, 'have our patio project finished by the end of summer project.'
Our home is a mid-century ranch style home, built in the 50's. So to play on that, I started a little outdoor patio furniture mood board on Wayfair's website that played off of hints of mid-century with a little bit of modern. I wanted simple, clean lines with patterns and a pop of color. We live near the ocean so weather proof, moisture proof patio furniture was a m.u.s.t. I also wanted to create an inviting space where people can mix, mingle, gather, and chat together, while kiddos swim in our pool.
The patio furniture I ended up choosing was a four piece patio set in a natural color. I wanted to add in pattern with a 6' x 9' area rug and pillows. I love these gould pillow covers that pair really well with the rug and patio furniture design. Our backyard patio receives a lot of sun, so I thought that a cute yellow umbrella would be just perfect for daytime patio BBQ's. I absolutely love these drape umbrellas and think they are so, so mid-century retro with just the perfect amount of modern flair. I went to town with the succulents, which add just the right touch of natural plant life to the patio.
Final Patio Furniture Thoughts?
After spending a bit of time re-decorating the space (I'll have to find the before images somewhere...) I spend a whole lot more time enjoying myself outdoors. Spending time to redo a patio is quite an undertaking but it is totally worth it in the end. What do you think?? This post was sponsored by Wayfair but all thoughts, opinions, choices were my own. It is because of brands like Wayfair that I can keep my blog motoring along with creativity and joy!
