My Picks from the ABLE Summer Sale

ABLE is forever a brand that I will share with you, not only because of its sustainability beliefs but also because of their core values in creating opportunities for women. Able is an ethical fashion brand that invests in women to empower and educate them so they can earn a living wage. I love what they stand for and I wear pieces from ABLE regularly. They are having a summer sale and some of the pieces I own are part of that sale. And they have graciously given me an extra special discount code that can be used on both full-price pieces and sale pieces!

Code: CONNISUMMER30 for 30% off.

My Picks from The ABLE Summer Sale

The sale starts today and goes through Friday. During the warehouse sale you can use code CONNISUMMER30 for an extra 30% off of sale items or 30% off of full price items. The code is only good for the sale dates. My picks are also all curated on shop page for you here. Here are my summer picks for great basics that will last from summer into fall.

The Lucille Swing Dress

There are three pieces from the sale that I chose for their versatility for summer into fall. The first is the Lucille swing dress in black.

the toni ruffle tank

This is a great elevated tank top option for summer into fall. The toni ruffle tank fits well with skirts (see the Rene woven skirt below or denim cut offs and even jeans!

The nautical short

When I want to opt for shorts and aren’t cut-off denim shorts, my go-to’s are structured shorts like these Nautical Shorts in the Gyli wash. They are great paired with a simple white tank, tucked in, and sneakers. Or dressed up with a camisole and block heels for a dinner out. These are shorts that do double-duty from dressed down to dressed up, which is one of the key rules for me bringing a piece into my wardrobe.

The nautical short

The nautical short is slightly fitted, so size up or stay true to size.

The Rene woven midi skirt

I featured the Rene woven midi skirt back in the winter in an outfit video and paired it with simple flats and a turtleneck. This skirt also pairs great with the Toni ruffle tank and sandals for a summer look. It’s also a wonderful option for a back-to-work look with a blouse and blazer.

This pairs great dressed up with a knit sweater and dressy flats or paired down with the merly jacket a tank and sneakers.

My Year-Round ABLE Favorites

Day in and day out, I wear these ABLE pieces regularly. They are my most recommended because of their versatility in any wardrobe.

Clara Wide Leg crop

Hands down, one of my top favorite jeans/pairs of denim I own. I’ve styled them so many times, they’ve proven to be well worth it. I stayed true to size on these but if you’re broader in the hips, consider sizing up and then having the waist hemmed. Here is a style session I did with them and an oversized sweater, I paired the crop pant with booties for fall, and five ways for fall here.

Clara wide leg crop

True to size or size up. Fits above the ankle a few inches.

Merly Denim Jacket

Along the lines of cost per wear, this denim Merly jacket is right up there. Like the clara pant, I’ve worn this jacket so many times, I’ve lost count. What’s great about the Merly is that it is soft right from the get-go, it needs no “break-in” time to feel like beautifully worn denim. I sized up in mine, so it fit me through my broader shoulders and I fold up the sleeves or throw it over my shoulders and off I go. This is a cult favorite.

Merly Denim jacket

For a slightly oversized fit, size up or stay true to size. Needs no time to break it, it’s fit is soft and distressed. It pairs great with white denim, dresses, and shorts.
