Valentines DIY Straws in Under 30 Minutes

I'm always a fan of the easy Valentines DIY.  As you well know, I'm not a master of DIY like some of my more savvy creative friends.  So when it comes to DIY-ing anything, it has to take me under an hour, has to be functional, and affordable.

Step 2:  Fold card stock in half and using card stock and pencil, draw small heart shapes (in various sizes or in similar sizes) about 1/2" wide.   Using scissors, cut out hearts and set card stock aside.

Step 3: Place card stock hearts over felt that's been folded in half (in order to make two hearts at one time!) and cut out hearts (fabric scissors work best for this but if you're patient, any scissor will do).

Step 4:  Using a glue gun, place three strips of glue (one in the center, and two on right/left side of heart) on the inside of a felt heart and place straw in center (on top of center glue strip) and press second heart over top and hold together for a few seconds.  (Remember to place hearts about three inches from top or bottom of straw to give you room use as a drinking straw!)
