White Jeans Outfits for Spring
It's spring time. Time to break out into a white jeans outfit. I've said it before, I'm a big believer of wearing white jeans all year round. But there is something about warmer temperatures that makes me re-organize my jeans in my closet so that my white jeans and lighter denim is front-and-center.

What to Wear to Create a Great White Jeans Outfit
When it comes to figuring out what to wear with white jeans, it can sometimes be a challenge. Ask all those mommies out there with kiddos and messy kid things. Heck, ask me, who's pretty klutzy. I can manage to get a stain on pretty much anything. But it's completely okay, because unless you're a clothing inspector, no one will be looking that closely at your jeans. (Phew!) Because of that, I'll continue rocking those outfits with white jeans.
what to wear with white jeans if you:
1. have a straight figure |
look for a slim or skinny fit jean, but boyfriends and straight also work. To create a classic white jean outfit pair with either a flowy top or loose sweater, even a basic tee, then layer with a jean jacket!
2. carry your weight in your midsection/tummy |
look for a higher waisted, higher rise jean & pair it with an empire (higher) waist top to give a more figure-flattering look. Layer your high waisted white jean with a loose cardigan that has a bit of structure. Wrap tops are also a great option. Anything that has accentuation at your natural waist or above and isn't tight around the tummy.
3. have fuller hips & thighs |
look for a slim leg, boyfriend, or straight leg white jean. Wear your white jeans with a top that hits at the widest point of your hips (no shorter). Anything that accentuates your natural waist, such as a peplum top, or tailored button down with darts (seams at the bust line) are great for you. Longer layers are your friend!
a few other tips for wearing white jeans
- nude undies, not white (-; you're behind will thank you
- before buying the jeans in the store, if you are worried about anything showing through when you wear them, hold them up to the light. if you can see through them in the least, think about trying a different pair.
- you can change up the look by cuffing your jeans. If they're long, roll them up for an ankle style white jean outfit, like I did.
- if you're worried about white jeans + less than perfect backside (i.e.: cellulite, etc) find a pair that has less stretch more structure (stretch = cling) and/or find a slim/boyfriend fit rather than skinny.
how to keep your white jeans outfit clean?
- you can Scotchguard them before wearing them to ward off some/most of the stains
- prior to washing them, if their is a nasty little stain somewhere on them, dab the spot with woolite or another gentle cleaner. let it sit for up to a few hours, then rub stain gently, and place in the wash on gentle cycle using warm water.
- consider replacing your detergent with 1/2 c. baking soda or distilled white vinegar in the gentle cycle wash to help keep your white jeans white.
- lay jeans flat to dry rather than putting them in the dryer. this helps maintain the life of the jeans.
