Why the Boho Dress is a Fall Trend Worth Trying
There's a certain element of fluidity to a boho dress. An ethereal romance that just flows and flows. Over the last few weeks, I've been talking about some fall trends I've been seeing and really loving. The boho dress being at the top of that list.

Trying the Floral Boho Dress Trend This Fall
It took me a bit of time to really come to terms with the flow that comes with a boho dress. For the past two years, I've seen that hipster/boho vibe trending but when it really came down to actually purchasing one, I just never did it. It hasn't really been my go to. I'm more of a fit and flare type gal, myself. But darn it if I just wanted to push my limits just a bit, especially with more fall trends (like velvet) I've been aiming to try.
So this season, I took aim at a flowy swinging floral maxi dress by Chicwish. For a few different reasons, I think that this was a perfect match; a) the color, it's a perfect fall burgundy & b) the fit, it nips just at the waist with an elastic waistband. Tell me what girl out there doesn't want an elastic waistband with Thanksgiving (and the other fabulous eating-focused holidays) right around the corner?!?
A Few Tips for Finding that Perfect Boho Dress
1| think about length || I love that this dress is long and flowy in all the right places. I can wear it with heels and oxfords (like I'm wearing here). However, I am taking the boho dress to a tailor to bring it up just a few inches. One of the strongest recommendations I can give you ladies out there is to tailor, tailor, tailor when you finding something you like but it doesn't fit exactly right. In this world of fast fashion and ready-to-wear, a tailor (read: your local dry cleaner can usually become your tailor) is your best fashion friend!
2 | color || what colors do you most resonate with? I think one of the reasons I held off for so long was I wasn't drawn to the creamy shade of boho dresses. But when I saw this burgundy dress, I thought, why not?! It's the perfect fall color, I don't really have anything in that color, but I know I love it!
3 | cost || I'm not one to recommend spending over $100 on anything that isn't a reallllly classic, wear for-ev-er piece when you're buying something for the first time. This floral boho dress was all of $70 from Chicwish and when it arrived, the fabric was rich and felt really sturdy. I would say that's a win win financially and I'll be purchasing from this site again (I just actually bought this dress too!) soon.
