How to Style A Cropped Cardigan Five Ways

Whenever I recommend layering pieces for clients, I always suggest pieces at different heights. A longer layer, a layer that hits at mid-length, and a cropped layer. Cropped cardigans are a great addition to a fall wardrobe and ABLE has just released their Irene Cropped Cardigan. It’s 100% organic cotton, GOTS certified beautifully textured, super soft and just the right amount of puff on the sleeve. I’m showing you how to style it 5 ways with an Instagram reel today but showing you a few simple steps here too.

Tips for Styling A Cropped Cardigan

Cropped cardigans are a great basic for layering. I find that having one on hand pairs really well with higher waisted denim. I have an 11 1/2 inch rise Levi’s straight leg jean (also styled various shoes for fall with them here too) and find that this cardigan meets right at the waistline of the denim perfectly. Cropped pieces are also great for petites (I’m 5’6”, so technically not petite but it still works!) I paired my straight leg with my new Madewell Citywalk Lugsole City Walker boots (the boots meet just at the tip of the jean hem) and it’s perfection.

The Irene Cardigan: I’m featuring the ABLE Irene Cardigan - It fits true to size and I am wearing my true size. It has a slightly fitted torso and drop shoulders with a puff sleeve. It’s organic cotton, has a great weight and texture to it. If you’re petite, nursing, or looking for a maxi, midi, or slip skirt dress layer, this is a wonderful option!
