How to Style Fisherman Sandals
Fisherman sandals are on the rise this summer. My mom mentioned to me after seeing me wear them the other day, she should have kept hers from the 70’s. See fashion, it’s cyclical, and can also be super fun when you adapt it into your everyday wear. The whole point of me doing these Ways to Wear videos and posts is to prove to myself (and to show you!) that a little experimentation in your closet can go a long way. It’s also pretty fun too.
Linen Shorts - Jenni Kayne - true size (similar ones also sold here)

Linen Blazer - Similar sold here and here (mine isn’t available any longer)
Fisherman Sandals - Sera Black stud Fisherman Sandals Freda Salvador - size 1/2 down. Use code 15CONNI for 15% off your first purchase of Freda’s.
Black Tote - Clare V. Le Zip Sac
Same blazer here, reworked with a great pair of full length wide leg jeans. This is a great dinner outfit for me, or meeting a client or friend out for lunch.
Jeans - Citizens of Humanity Paloma (I sized down but you can do true size)
V Neck Tank - Sold Out NYC on sale Iconically Soft tank (similar option).
Necklace - Clare V. Freshwater Pearl Necklace
Bag - Clare V. Petit Henri
Reworking my favorite Sold Out NYC Not So Basic Tank into a pants (cotton pull on Mary Easy pants from Able (code CONNI15 for 15% off, order your true size), same Petite Henri bag and this Chelsea plaid blazer I bought last year, I’ve been wearing with just about everything. I love how the neutrals pair subtly (a silhouette of a fitted top, tapered ankle jeans) and then you have that slight “pop” of a print with the blazer. That always does it for me.
Blazer again, reworked, this time into a daytime or dinner outfit with a fitted tank dress (Sold Out NYC). Sometimes the simplest silhouettes are the most chic. It’s the addition of the print that makes the whole outfit just pop.
Playing with your wardrobe can spark new life into pieces you thought otherwise unwearable. Have fun, play, experiment with new silhouettes in your closet. What’s your favorite look? And if you need help with that, book an Outfit Planning Session with me and I’ll show you how.
