A Coat Outfit for a Cozy Winter Day

It's been an official 24 hours since we've arrived in Toronto and what do you know, we've heard it's been the coldest weather all winter long!  It was a balmy -19 out yesterday and today, -1.  Safe to say, I'm bundled up in all of my wintery-est of wintery gear.  This pink coat outfit is the perfect winter outfit for a cold day!

A Wool Wide Lapel Pink Coat Outfit for Winter

This pink winter coat is one of my favorite pieces this winter.  In fact, I've been able to pair with it with pretty much anything.  I'm not kidding!  Along with my style post today, I want to share why Instagram is such a powerful social media tool for me as a blogger!  But not before also sharing how much I love this cozy pink winter coat.  Something I've learned about moving to really cold weather from really warm weather is that it takes a bit more creativity trying to look cute and stay warm at the same time.

So before I made the move to Toronto, I checked out some warm weather jackets, including this pink winter coat from Mango.  While many out there are wearing black, grey, and cream coats, pink is the color of the season this year.  And the light pink?  It's still a neautral as far as I'm concerned.  Paired with plaid or leopard, this pink winter coat blends right in.

INSTAGRAM AS A BLOGGING TOOL FOR ME

Let's rewind a few years' a friend introduced me to Instagram.  At the time, I wasn't certain how I could utilize this type of visual social media.   Yet over time, I started to follow people that gave me visual inspiration and started thinking about how powerful this social media tool could be for socializing, networking, and collaborating.

Fast forward to a few years' later... I left my career teaching to embark on a new & exciting path as a stylist, which can also be referred to sometimes as an image consultant, and and blogger.  Through Instagram, I derive a lot of my creative energy from the beauty I see.

How exactly do I use it to build my business?  I use Instagram to help pass on visual inspiration for others by linking back to my blog.  I also use a tool called Like to Know it. What is that?  Well, every now and again, you'll see me post an Instagram image that that links to www.liketoknow.it.  By signing up on the Like to Know it website, when bloggers you love post style images on Instagram and you like those Instagram images, you'll receive an email that tells you where & how you can buy those pieces.  It's like curated shopping for things you love!  I hope that helps make sense out of @liketoknow.it when you see it posted on my Instagram feed!
