The Perfect Pair of Denim Maternity Overalls
Throughout my pregnancy the one item of clothing I really wanted was a pair of maternity overalls. Overalls have been a favorite of mine and I was absolutely obsessed with this pair from Madewell (ie: wore them con-stant-ly pre mama-bod). So when I couldn't fit into those any longer, my search for a cute pair of maternity overalls began. And what a search that was. I had a really hard time finding a pair that fit property as my belly grew and grew. Then I came across this pair from Jojo Maman Bebe and what a game changer these denim maternity overalls were.

Comfortable & Cute Denim Maternity Overalls
A few months back I saw these denim maternity overalls on House of Harper and was obsessed with finding them (sadly, no luck). But that also kicked off a search on Asos and H&M, as I was determined to find a cute pair of denim overalls that I could wear over the summertime. The majority of what I've been wearing and was wearing over the last few months consisted of dresses, dresses, and more dresses with a few jean outfits mixed in there. But more to come on maternity denim...another story for another day.
With that being said, what makes a great pair of denim maternity overalls work vs. ones that don't?
What to Look For in Maternity Overalls
1 || Length || A good pair of denim maternity overalls are about 4 inches above the knee. This allows for movement and room to stretch as you grow over the months.
2 || Room in the Tummy || Some overalls have a button side vs an elastic waist band. And that can be hard to adjust when you have a growing baby belly.
3 || Material || One of the biggest matters of comfort for me when I'm purchasing a pair of denim. Whether overalls or jeans is that they're made up of mostly cotton.
4 || Versatility || Can you wear them for more than just one reason? Can you switch up the shoes, the shirt, to make the most of your outfit options?
When you love a piece of clothing so much, you have a great feeling every time you wear it. And that's how you know you're going to get your worth out of wear. Which makes it absolutely worth it in the end! You know you've picked the right piece for you!

Favorites in the Maternity Overall Category
I tried on a lot (a lot) of different styles and these were by far my favorite. Early on, I opted for a long pair of black denim overalls (these ones in particular) but they were too loose in the legs and looked a wee bit too sloppy, so I returned them. Then I tried this denim overall dress and thought it was really cute but was still on the search for actual overalls. Asos by far has the best selection and their return policy is great. But I wasn't very successful in finding the right pair of maternity overalls.
These H&M denim overalls are available now but they keep coming and going (they weren't available when I needed them last month). So if you're looking for a longer version, grab them while you can! As far as a pair of denim maternity overalls, this pair of Jojo Maman Bebe are my absolute favorite. They meet all the needs of length, room, material, and versatility. They are one piece that I could not live without during these last few months of pregnancy. It's a shame I wasn't able to find them sooner but I'm sure wearing the heck out of them now!
