What I Wore in Hawaii
When I pack for any trip, I start to “pre-pack” about a week ahead of time. This usually looks like me mentally thinking about what pieces are making me feel great at the time, what seems appropriate for the weather, and then setting the pieces out on my clothing rack in my office, to narrow down my options. I usually research the weather, then lay out my outfit/s by day. I try to stick to a color palette that works well to mix and match and almost always take items I can wear more than once. Here were my outfits for Hawaii!
What I Packed + Wore in Hawaii
Day 1
I usually like to travel in an actual outfit. By that I mean, something that is comfortable but styled. I chose my Alemais wide leg linen trousers and scoop in up tank from Sold Out NYC (code CONNIVIP20 for 20% off). I don’t usually do athleisure pieces just because I like the idea of feeling as though I’m an elevated version of my everyday self, even when I travel. I layered with my favorite cropped jacket as of late, the Kamila reversible jacket from Veronica Beard. (I sized up one, as it fits slightly fitted across the shoulders). I paired it with the Leather Braided Strap Sandals from Jenni Kayne (they are honestly so comfortable, if I wear these out, I would invest in another pair stat. They fit true to size.)
We took family photos the first night so I changed into this Bahia Dress by L.Space (it fits small, I sized up). I loved the ease of the dress and the back cut out is adorable. I paired it again with an old bag from Clare V I love, and my Jenni Kayne braided flats.
Day 2 //
Sticking with my trusty Sold Out NYC tanks, I wore a black scoop it up tank and paired it with high waisted paper bag Luce shorts from Ba&Sh (fit true to size) along with a pair of black Leo sandals from Emme Parsons. I took my new Le Weekend bag from Clare V and used it as both a day time tote and beach bag.
Day 3 //
I wore a Hunter Bell Jenkins dress that I tried on at a local boutique, Margaux, in Larkspur last week. I loved it so much and didn’t end up getting it while I was there, so they graciously shipped it to me to make it for my trip on time! I love the Jenkins dress so much (fits true to size and I posted a reel about it the other night) but they don’t make this print any longer, so I linked a similar style for Summer 2022. Be sure to check out Margaux if you’re in the SF area because it is definitely worth a trip. They have some beautiful pieces. I paired it again with my braided sandals from Jenni Kayne (these definitely got the most wear on my trip).
Day 4 //
Dresses were definitely top of my packing list for this trip. They’re just so easy and make the perfect daytime to evening outfit. This dress is the Daphne Cotton Sundress from Shop Mille and it’s gorgeous. It fits true to size. I paired the dress with neutral accessories, the Lyra Sandal from Freda Salvador, (use code 15CONNI for 15% off) which fit slightly larger, so I’d recommend a 1/2 size down. These sandals are super comfortable and waterproof so great from sand to evening. My bag is the Clare V Grande Fanny.
Day 5 //
We spent most of the day at the beach and had a family luau that evening so I wore my St. Roche Wonderland dress with my Jenni Kayne sandals. It was a simple, carefree outfit that I loved. The dress was so comfortable (it’s cotton, and lined midway and fits true to size). Use code CONNIJ15% for 15% off anything from St. Roche.
