Styling a White & Black Drop Waist Dress Three Ways
Sometimes it is a struggle to make the most out of what we have in our closet. Sometimes it's because we just don't have the time to brainstorm ideas to pair that little black dress or in my case my black and white drop waist dress with any other pieces we have. No fear there ladies, there are some genius ways to pair your dress in a variety of ways.
Outfit #1 | Daytime, simple
For a quick and easy update to this drop waist dress, I choose to start off with a fun pair of chunky booties. Obviously this is something I much more my style of shoe, a fun statement piece. If you're looking to go a bit simpler than what you see here, I'd opt for a simple wedge style shoe or flat, which are both classic and timeless. It creates a more daytime look with a dress that can be worn to work or to brunch.
Outfit #2 | Layering With The Drop Waist Dress
To create a layered look for daytime, pair a great long sleeve blouse over your dress and create a top/skirt combo. This makes for a fun, playful, yet feminine look. A blouse worn over a drop waist dress dress? Yup, you can do it! Especially if you choose one that has a great detailed collar. For a finishing touch, pair a bomber jacket over your black and white dress outfit to add that extra layer.
Outfit Idea # 3 | Drop Waist Dress Outfit Layered With A Top & Blazer for Work
A black and white drop waist dress can be worn to work when paired with a blazer or jacket. The blazer gives it a tailored look, while the boot gives it a bit of a casual vibe. One of my styling tips for this outfit is if you're going to wear it to work, add a blazer, which immediately gives it a more professional look! Because of the sleeveless nature of the drop waist dress outfit, and the fact that I love to layer, I chose to add a top under the dress, which gives it a bit of sophistication and color. I added some pops of gold and color in the accessories to jazz the outfit up.
What other ideas do you love to combine when you're wearing a black and white dress?
