How to Integrate Stripes into Your Wardrobe
When I think about staple wardrobe pieces in my closet, stripes always come to mind. I had someone mention to me that when she scrolled through Instagram and came upon my feed, she always knows it's me when she sees the stripes. When I'm not sure where to take my outfit on any given day, I'll always turn to stripes because I know they never go out of style.

Three Basic Tips to Help you Master Wearing Stripes
This spring, down the runways and in our own cities, stripes are one of the dominating trends. Integrating them into your own wardrobe can be as easy as slipping on a cardigan or pulling on an entire shift dress. Have a favorite pair of jeans and a white t-shirt you adore? Adding another layer with a black and white striped sweater and pairing it with the jeans is an easy way to integrate stripes into your wardrobe. This black and white striped sweater with jeans from Loft is one of my casual favorites for spring.
If you've been wondering about how you might pull off that striped look, here are 3 tips that will help you integrate stripes into your outfit this spring:
Tip #1 | Smaller, narrow stripes are good
Narrow stripes are a flattering fit for almost anyone. When in doubt, opt for a small, thin stripe over thick.
Tip #2 | Draw attention to your favorite places
When wearing stripes, think about pairing it with a neutral piece or simple shapes in lighter or complementary colors to go for a classic, chic look. Wear stripes around the area of the body you want to emphasize. Love your legs, stripes go there. Want to draw attention away from your hips? Wear strips up top!
Tip #3 | Vertical and horizontal stripes are good in moderation
Wearing vertical stripes and horizontal stripes can both be achieved if done in moderation. Vertical stripes elongate the body, which is good, if the stripes are few and far between. Horizontal stripes cause the eye to move back and forth, so remember rule #1 when wearing horizontal stripes.
