The Striped Drawstring Pants that are the Perfect Alternative to Jeans

I don't know about you but over the last few seasons my wardrobe rotation has been jeans, jeans, and more jeans. Hands up if this is you too.  Not that I don't love jeans!  In fact, I love them so much, they're always my weekend go-tos.  But sometimes changing it up is a good thing.  JCrew recently came out with their striped drawstring pants collection and I love them.

STRIPED DRAWSTRING PANTS AS A JEAN ALTERNATIVE

There are alternatives to the jean fix but sometimes we forget, don't we?  This season, I'm storing away my jeans (at least, for the weekend) and busting out all the striped drawstring pants I can!  One of the best things about rising temperatures is breaking away from those tight fitting jeans and breaking out those loose flowing pieces you've been storing in your closet the last few months.  I know for me, finding the right pieces to rotate in so my jeans can take a timeout is a great closet refresher.

I just recently returned from a great weekend getaway in Niagara on the Lake for the long Victoria Day Canadian holiday and I wore these striped drawstring pants two days in a row! I paired them with a white sleeveless top, gold gladiator sandals, and layered with a jean jacket.  Another great pairing is a simple tank with basic leather sandals for a day at the beach.  These striped drawstring pants are so cozy and versatile they can also be worn as a great alternative to work pants for the office.  Paired with heels and a blazer and you'll be office/business ready in no time.  Now tell me you won't try them for yourself.  If not for a more relaxed you but for a better alternative to jeans this spring!
