How to Style A Striped Sweater Dress for Fall
photography | Koko Photo
Alright, I've gone through and re-organized my closet for fall, which is quickly approaching (in less than a week!) and you know what I noticed? Stripes. Front and center, left and right. Do you have a certain pattern or color that stands out in your wardrobe? Mine remains to be stripes. And there's nothing wrong with that as I've been a big believer that stripes are a timeless print. What especially stands out for me when getting dressed in the fall is a great striped sweater dress.
This striped sweater dress from Eliza J is one of my personal favs. Why so? Because it's 1) under $100, 2) the fabric is extremely comfortable and 3) I can layer it in so many ways. A striped sweater dress is also a versatile piece because you can dress it up (in my case, a fun work event) or dress it down for a dinner out or work during the week.
I've written about fit-and-flare dresses before and I have to tell you, this striped sweater dress, which is also a fit-and-flare style is flattering on women. It hits right at the knee and it's long-sleeve, so if you carry your weight in your arms, hips, or waist, a fit and flare is a great option for you! This fit-and-flare striped sweater dress is going to get a lot of wear this fall, I can already tell!
To make the most out of my striped sweater dress, I've taken another favorite, my shirt dress that I wear over and over, and I've layered over my dress and added a belt to make a casual wear-to-market outfit!
